A bit about my back story…
I moved to Utah from Seattle 11 years ago for college where I studied Exercise Science. I ended up meeting my husband, Chase, and settling here for the long haul.
I was raised as a gymnast, but also was a wrestler and cheerleader, even going on to performing with the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and doing MMA in college.
Once I was no longer in sports, I struggled to know how to exercise in a fulfilling way. I would follow random YouTube videos and go for runs, but exercise began to feel like a chore. I was losing my athleticism quickly and no longer could do handstands or the splits.
I went to my nearest gym and met with a personal trainer. He took my body measurements and then generated an image of what I looked like. He toggled through different body aesthetics and excitedly asked if I had an event like a wedding or vacation I wanted to look good for. It didn’t sit right with me.
I used to find so much joy and passion in exercise….but now it was turning into a battle against my changing body.
A few years later, while working in physical therapy, a coworker invited me to an aerial class. It was then that I knew my life had just changed forever.
Fast track 6 years in the future and here I am now. I am a professional aerialist and coach. I’ve overcome many injuries and found a sustainable way to train aerial that is fun and rewarding.
My life’s passion and purpose is coaching others to train in a similar way; a way that is focused on what our bodies can DO and not what they look like.
Outside of coaching and training, I love spending time in the outdoors with my husband and dog, finding cool new restaurants in the Salt Lake area, and roller skating.
I’m so glad you’re here and I can’t wait to get to know you.
